How To

What is a "Battery Pack" and how can it be replaced?

Your drone's main power source is the battery pack. They provide enough power that your quadcopter can fly safely and smoothly.

The difference in the battery pack between a drone you already own and a new one that you purchase will not be noticeable. However, the battery pack will eventually wear down. It might eventually stop functioning altogether. To ensure your drone continues to operate properly, you'll have to replace its battery pack.

It is recommended to use the original replacement part when replacing a battery. If you install a faulty pack, your drone could be damaged.

To replace a battery pack, follow these steps:

  1. Disconnect the battery connector cable. This will prevent your drone from receiving any electric current. You can remove the battery connector from the drone by pulling it out.
  2. Unscrew your battery pack. Take the battery pack out of the bottom part of your quadcopter. The battery pack often splits into two pieces.
  3. Locate the battery contacts. After you've taken out the battery pack, search for the battery contacts. These small metal pins link the battery and the rest of your drone's components.
  4. Install the new battery. Next, place the new battery in the drone. You will need to align the battery connectors from both ends of the battery package. Then, push the battery pack onto the drone. Once you have done that, tighten the bolts that hold your battery pack in its place.
  5. Reattach the battery connector cable. After installing the new batteries, connect the battery connector to the drone.
  6. You should test your drone. Test your drone before flying it again. Congratulations if it works!
